Tokyo Elite Lifestyle (TEL) coordinates Tokyo tours, cultural experiences and selected provider-led activities around your visit. Details, provider availability, current terms, inclusions and prices are confirmed before booking.
Sokkon (即今), near Omotesando, was created to introduce guests to chaji: a complete Japanese tea gathering, rather than simply a bowl of matcha. Its published concept brings together food, tea, thoughtfully chosen utensils and art, conversation and the host’s hospitality—an introduction to the culture behind the ceremony.
Its published course outline describes charcoal preparation, a simple vegetarian meal and fresh sweets, followed by koicha (thick matcha) and usucha (thin matcha) with dry sweets. The outline gives a duration of approximately 2½ hours and says prior knowledge of tea etiquette is not required. These are published programme details, not a currently confirmed offering.
The venue’s guidance describes a quiet, attentive experience: phones and photography are not permitted from the meal through the thick-tea service; the later thin-tea stage allows questions and photographs. Any current format and guest guidance would need to be reconfirmed.
Current availability unconfirmed. Sokkon’s latest dated service-change notice, published on 3 April 2026, says it is closed. Its homepage mentions a planned reopening, but this does not establish that service or bookings have resumed. TEL must verify reopening, the current programme, duration, language support, inclusions, terms, availability and price before proposing any arrangement.
